It was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. 100% for realz. And I never exaggerate.
But seriously, what could be better than toasty charred bits of marshmallows? Well, toasty charred bits of marshmallows with booze and pumpkin pie spice.
Yet another example of a great thing made greater through the addition of bourbon.
Boozy Toasted Marshmallow Pumpkin Shakes
Makes 2 shakes
Inspired by The Good Stuff Cookbook
1 cup vanilla bean ice cream
1 tablespoon sour cream
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup buttermilk
4 marshmallows
8 charred marshmallows
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
a splash of bourbon
Turn the oven to broil, and line a baking sheet with foil. Place 8 marshmallows on the sheet and broil until charred, about 6 minutes. Skewer two more marshmallows for a garnish, and toast until brown (it will only take a minute or two).
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Garnish each glass with a toasted marshmallow. Serve immediately.

Jussssst ridiculously amazing. 🙂
This looks glorious. I wish that WonkaVision was real and I could just make it appear via television signals. Sigh.
YOU MADE THEM. They look glorious! I wish I’d stayed one day extra to imbibe!
These look fabulous! I love the presentation too! I’m totally digging the straws – love the stripes! Where are they from?
Thanks – the straws are from Impress in U. Village! They have other colors too. 🙂
This looks awesome, can’t wait to make! Nice pictures too!
