I had the great pleasure of celebrating the SAVEUR Best Food Blog Awards in Vegas last week and what an incredible 48 hours it was. The editors at SAVEUR and lovely folks at The Bellagio (and let’s be honest the whole city of Vegas in general!) sure do know how to throw a party. They also know how to make a food blogger feel extra fancy for two days. I can’t say thank you enough to everyone for such a wonderful experience.
But before I get back to my real life of taking pictures of cookies in flour-dusted leggings here are a few highlights:
This was the view. It was alright.
This was the 9am cocktail patiently waiting for me when I arrived at breakfast. Having champagne before noon is why they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?
This lovely man gave us a tour of how the fountains at The Bellagio work and then let us a pick a song that was choreographed to the water. ‘Billie Jean’ was the unanimous vote.
It’s not vacation until you take at least one picture of your own feet.
This is an awful picture of food, I know, but the dish in the upper right hand corner is MINIATURE chicken wings! They were chicken wings fit for a lady, and just may have changed my view on the subject of wings.
This is a Mandarin Old Fashioned (made with Mandarine Napoléon) and a cocktail that quickly rose to the top of my must recreate list. Plus I snuck in another foot picture!
This is my BFF.
And then, 48 hours later, it was time to go home.

So wish we would have gotten to “meet” – I think maybe we passed each other on the elevator? Also, a little jealous you got to crunch in some pool time 😉
Me too – we were so close!! Hopefully there will be a next time soon! 🙂
Your whole trip looks awesome! I haven’t been to Vegas in years…and we stayed at the Bellagio – how cool to be able to pick a song for the fountain! : )
Thank you Monica! Hope you get to pay Vegas a visit again soon!

I am new to your blog, and I LOVE IT! The Bellagio is my favorite place to stay in Vegas. Ahhh, the memories of my room with a view of the fountain!
